Game On!

Let the game's begin!

Let the game’s begin!

Okay it’s confession time; I haven’t been updating this blog as much as I really should have.

Since being employed by GamerZines as a professional journalist way back in June 2009, I’ve  neglected my debut online stomping ground with little more than a couple of updates in two years, but that ends right now!

This year Gaming Goodness returns in style with regular articles, (very) occasional features and even video content – something which I’ve never done before!

The biggest change though is that I won’t be just penning my thoughts about games any more. There will be regular updates about motorsport, politics, journalism and pretty much anything else that takes my fancy.

It’s also worth mentioning that I’ve finally plonked down some cash to have a domain name which doesn’t have the cumbersome ‘wordpress’ monikor.

Look out 2013, Gaming Goodness has finally returned and if I’m absolutely honest it’s about bloody time! Continue reading

1000 hits achieved

Just a quick note to thank all the readers of Gaming Goodness, as yesterday we hit the 1000 all time hits mark. Having started out in January that does seem like we are lagging behind a little but to be honest this place was no more than something which was occasionally posted on. To help put this number in context we are also within touching distance of hitting 500 hits for this month alone. Lets keep going until we hit the 10,000 unique I.Ps mark. Thank you everybody for reading its the hits which keep me writing, and hopefully some people get some enjoyment out of it as well.

We have lots and lots coming up over the next week including an in depth look at Rebellion and Alien vs Predator, some Pain PS3 movies, Arcade scene in UK, MMO Impressions and hopefully some exciting pre-E3 announcements. Gaming Goodness is here to stay and after an encouraging April and incredible May, we should keep on trucking for quite some time. Over the next few months we are hoping to expand into more original content instead of merely report the bleeding edge of gaming news, which to be honest is a rather easy way to fill content pages. Personally it would be more benificial and entertaining for all involved if it was more about original content such as features, lists and videos. Its all about finding a voice in the crowded enthuasiast press which we refer to fondly as gaming journalism.

The G Man is happy, and so are we. Thanks everybody for reading.
