Time for a Plug Tuesday: Pt 1

Most of the time this blog is ripe with new, fresh content for your game-loving senses, but occasional it’s updated with an article which is really just an excuse for me to plug some things myself or my colleagues have written for other websites…this is one of those times.

I won’t make a habit of it, honest I won’t, but sometimes there will be things that I think readers of this blog should be checking out and it would be amiss of me to not link them somewhere on this site.

Now when I say plug, I don't actually mean this, but just be a little confusing I'm just going to put this here. I'll have a new plug for you each week, I promise. I predict I'm going to regret that promise...

First up is an exclusive interview I conducted with Ron Gilbert for the fine folks at GamerZines.com. Now people say you should never meet your heroes, but Ron was an absolute gent throughout the interview; kindly putting up with even the most inane questions. You can find both parts of the interview linked here and here, I especially cringed at the moment when I asked Ron whether he’d ever consider making another pirate game. The transcription includes all those ‘classic moments’, so be sure to check it out – warts and all.

Next up we have a new piece at Plughead.net/Feed the Robot titled ‘New Star Soccer versus New Star Soccer 5’ written by the rather dashing Mickey Opus. I’ve known this fella for years and this article actually represents somewhat of a comeback on the game-blogging scene, so feel free to refresh that story about a billion times so that the traffic figures are good.

That’s all for the first entry of ‘Time for a Plug Tuesday’, but I’m sure this segment will return fairly regularly. Yes I know what I said in the second paragraph, but do you know how difficult it is to plug your own stuff on the internet? It’s a bloody minefield!
