Square Enix has announced that the project they snapped up from Activision’s cutting room floor, Sleeping Dogs, has a cast that fits the label – ‘all-star’.
United Front Games’ first open-world actioner features a litany of well known voice talent from both East and West including Lucy Liu, Emma Stone, Tom Wilkinson and many more. What do you mean you’ve never heard of Tom Wilkinson? He was the old bloke in The Full Monty and the criminal kingpin in Batman Begins.
Yeah we thought you had heard of him…The other big notable star in our honest opinion is James Hong who featured prominently in Blade Runner, Mulan and of course Wayne’s World.
Obviously getting this sort of talent is only half the battle, the other is getting them to perform, but handily Square Enix has put together a trailer to showcase their slate of stars and the calibre of their performances. Check it out below:
Oh and one more thing, if you want to hear a really, really, really, bad celebrity performance in a video game you really can’t go wrong with Christopher Walken in True Crime: Streets of LA. Ironically enough the game Sleeping Dogs was supposed to be a sequel to before Activision decided to cut and run.
It’s a small world…
This is a fine example of the excellent writing currently seen at GamerZines.com be a good sport and give it a read.
